I've been SO, SO busy with purging the house. Last year at this time I was on a roll and then the tornado happened. We stored all of our garage sale totes in the corn crib and since it was gone, we didn't have anywhere to go with our unwanted stuff. We also had tons of clean up to do, so the purging was put on the back burner. I finally got back to it and it feels so good! We used to have shelves around the top of the family room that held "stuff" and I was so tired of it. We took those down, and I only kept a few things that I loved and we packed away the rest to get rid of. I want to hit every inch of this house. My mom and I are going to have a garage sale in April and I can't wait! The stuff that is left over after the garage sale will be donated.
I didn't get photos during the purge, but I thought the colors of the plastic cups looked cool and decided to grab my camera. I got rid of every plastic cup that my kids had and replaced it with glass. Yes, I still had sippy cups in the cupboard. I think it's about time I got rid of those since my baby is now 6, don't you? lol
A few of the things left from the living room shelves and the formal living room. I'm keeping the old bottles and jars to the left. They just needed major washing.
We have two identical marble fireplaces. We have a piece that fell and broke and I've been wanting to find someone to repair it. I found a company in Chicago that repairs, restores and cleans marble. I'm assuming that they haven't been cleaned properly in their 135 years, so they could use that too. I just sent an e-mail with photos to this company and I'm crossing my fingers that the estimate isn't too high and that they are able to fix the broken piece.

Very nice write up. Easy to understand and straight to the point.
