When Hadleigh and Sawyer were in preschool, we went to the apple orchard every year. It was my favorite field trip. Poor Ashton didn't get to go in preschool, because he went to a different preschool than Hadleigh and Sawyer did. Last year, we took the kids as a family so Ashton could experience it and I wouldn't feel so guilty. lol He loved it too.
It's always hard to find the time to go because Sept. and Oct. are so busy with soccer, festivals and other stuff going on. I decided we would go on a Tuesday after school. Jerry got off of work early last Tuesday the 6th, because of the rain, so we took the kids as soon as they got off the bus. It was drizzling, so I packed rubber boots and umbrellas.
We drove the hour to get there and they had closed the u-pick part. I was so upset. The store was open, so we went inside to buy our apples and we of course had to have the apple cinnamon doughnuts. They are awesome! We also bought fudge to make ourselves feel better. Chocolate always works.
This barn is new and is for banquets and weddings. It's a beautiful barn and looks old.
They are obviously still working on the doors.
