Christmas Day

Finally, I'm posting our Christmas Day photos.  I didn't think I'd ever get all of our December photos blogged.  

Here they are waiting to come down the stairs to see if Santa had visited.

 The infamous Daisy Red Ryder BB gun.  They come with targets and safety glasses and they aren't allowed to use them without one of us being present, so don't worry!  I'm excited that now I'll have something to scare the coyotes off with when they come around.

The letters that they asked Santa to write to them.  Ashton asked so many questions and I'm sure Santa was tired after answering all of them.

I make my grandma's breakfast casserole every year for Christmas morning.  My parents and brother came over to check out what loot the kids received and they ate breakfast here.  We usually just relax and play for the rest of the morning, but this year they wanted to go to my parent's house with them.  So, they stayed in their jammies and left.  We went there that afternoon around 1.

This is Simon, my parent's dog,  and he was looking for squirrels. 

  

     

The adorable squirrel that was tormenting and teasing Simon.  I just couldn't resist taking his picture.  We don't have squirrels at our house, and I really like them. I know so many people are annoyed by them, but I just think they are so cute!

 

          

Halloween

It was chilly for Halloween this year, so we ended up carving pumpkins inside.

We ended at my parent's house.  Sawyer was about sick of having his picture taken and he was ready to dig into his candy.  Don't you love his annoyed slouch? lol

Halloween at school

The kids had their Halloween parties at school on Wednesday the 28th.  It was so neat to have all three in the same school for the first and only time.  I was able to pop into each class to take a few photos.  I helped in Hadleigh's class for this party.  

This is Hadleigh's class before we went into the gym for the parade.  Only grades K-2nd do the parade, so this was Hadleigh's last year and Sawyer's first year.  Poor Ashton hasn't been able to do this for a few years.  It's so cute and I'm always sad when it's their last time.

At the end of the party, they sang a few songs that they had been practicing for Grandparent's Day.

On Saturday October 24th, my aunt and uncle had their 2nd annual Halloween party.  Poor Sawyer had the flu, so he and Jerry stayed home.  

Ashton with Claire, Emerson, and Samuel on the infamous cart.  This rolling stool gets tons of use when kids are around it.  I have the cutest picture of Ashton playing on it with Hadleigh when she was a baby.  It was actually used in a national ad campaign for Cord Blood Registry back in 2002.  We have many memories of this stool.  

They hold this party in their really nice pole barn, because there is a lot of room and it's perfect for the kids to run around in.  My uncle has a collection of neons on the wall, and they look so pretty at night.

Karen thought we should do a coloring contest.  Most of us haven't colored in a while, so we thought it would be fun.  Hadleigh and Paige were the judges.  Of course, they were a bit biased because I won 1st and Kim won 2nd.  I definitely didn't deserve first.  I'm not artistic like the others are.  lol  It was funny, because I probably should have come in 4th.  My girl was looking out for her mom.
