Our Life On The Hill

July 4th

Every 4th of July, we go to my parent's house for their neighborhood's annual parade.  It's short, but so cute. The kids have been in it before either riding on a riding mower pulling a cart, or riding in my dad's little Nash Metropolitan.  This year, the boys rode bikes and Hadleigh was on rollerblades.

Poor Hadleigh was so exhausted!  She rollerbladed well over a mile.  

At the end of the parade, everyone ends up at one couple's house in the neighborhood.  They have some snacks and everyone brings a snack to share.  Sawyer enjoyed some of the cupcakes. 

        

July 4th

We had a gloomy and nasty July 4th.  It rained the entire day.  We went to my parent's house for the parade that their neighborhood puts on each year.  This is the only picture I took all day.  The rest of the day I did laundry and unpacked.  We usually have a party to go to at my father in law's house, but they didn't have it this year.  It was a really blah holiday for us since we were so tired from our vacation.  We did go and watch fireworks in the town north of us, but we just parked out on a country road and watched.  They had a great fireworks show.
